A Fire Marshal not only assists with evacuation in the event of a fire or fire alarm, they have received training on how to choose and use the correct fire extinguisher, how to prevent fires occurring in the first place and also been trained to ensure that passive fire safety systems within a building (such as fire doors) are functional and in good order.
